JIMMY SAULS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

THE SECOND ANNUAL JIMMY SAULS LEADERSHIP ACADEMYJimmy Sauls was a legendary coach and personality who contributed greatly to the greater Tallahassee area. His former players and colleagues are a veritable Who’s Who within the greater Tallahassee area and through out the North Florida - South Georgia community.
There will be four sessions of the Leadership Academy identifying various insiights high schools and the team captains from their respective sports. We also encourage each participating school to identify other school leaders that they feel would benefit from attending the Leadership Academy.
The Second Jimmy Sauls Leadership Academy will have speakers and activities geared around: 

  • making sound decisions & avoiding crisis situations,
  • leadership attributes, 
  • interviewing techniques, 
  • social media do’s and do not’s, 
  • bullying,
  • dealing with a depression, 
  • preparing for college and more.

. These specially selected students will meet with various community leaders in an interactive format geared towards student enhancement.
This activity is consistent with the mission of INSiiGHTS sports to use sports participation as a tool to enhance, encourage and assist in growing the student who is also an athlete.Refreshments will also be provided to our participants.
The Jimmy Sauls Leadership Academy will be held in September, December, March and June.
The September Academy was held at Florida State University Schools.
The next Leadership Academy will be on the campus of Godby High School.

September 24th, INSiiGHTS Sports did ta special session with the Student-Athlete leadership Council of Florida High.

Chiel McNeil advised INSiiGHTS to grow the program from the one session held in 2018 and to try to reach a younger audience, as well. 


We have grown to three sessions with additional sessions planned for next semester. 


We have also completed our first ever session to a middle school. Brooks County Middle School also had our largest number of participants with over 40 students.

December 11th, INSiiGHTS Sports did two sessions in Quitman, Georgia. The presenters spoke at Brooks County High School and Brooks County Middle School. 


Quitman, Georgia's Ms. Linda Thomas and Jay Green of Power 99 joined former FAMU Head Womens & Mens Basketball Coach, Mickey Clayton and Sharon Bee in presentations to the Brooks County students.

WCTV 2 REPLAY GAME

INSiiGHTS Game-of-the-Week (GOTW)  in our third year of showing high school sports on television. INSiiGHTS concentrates in the panhandle of Florida, south Georgia and into Jacksonville.


WCTV2 shows the INSiiGHTS telecasts on Saturdays from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. 


INSiiGHTS feels proud to be able to bring these telecasts to the WCTV2 viewing area.

TV FAMU 20

INSiiGHTS is entering our second year working with FAMU TV20.


Our first year FAMU 20 showed special shows from out INSiiGHTS Magazine collection, Black History Shows and occasional High School replay contests.


The Florida A&M University School of Journalism students have always been a part of our productions and awe have appreciated their contributions.


This year we have added additional students as we have produced a weekly LIVE telecast for FAMU TV20. These games are shown on FAMU TV20 on Friday nights from 7:00 - 9:30.
